RPS is able to work with a development project's legal team to design comprehensive Section 106's Agreements, based on an innovative approach established at Stratford City.
RPS is also able to form an integral part of the development and valuation team inputting affordable housing costs and values into the open book financial appraisal to negotiate the percentage of affordable housing.

The approach developed with RPS at Stratford City has been treated as a model of best practice
and including the following innovative features:
- The establishment of an affordable housing price which RSLs needed to bid in order to trigger the affordable housing requirements.
- Indexed affordable housing incomes for qualifying tenants;
- A structure which allowed the developers themselves to act as the qualifying RSL in order to deliver the development comprehensively.
